For Real Users:

• Email: for account recovery and communication (never shared with third parties)
• Username: public identifier
• Display Name: public name for interactions

For Guest/Public Users:

• Session data stored temporarily (anonymous)

We do not collect passwords. Sign-in is via secure one-time login links (OTP).

We use your information to:

• Provide access to app features
• Enable collaboration and invitations
• Deliver notifications and transactional emails
• Monitor and improve app performance

• Your username and display name are public
• Uploaded content (recipes, cookbooks, branches) may be public depending on your settings
• Profile visibility controls will be added soon

We use session cookies and analytics (via PostHog) to understand usage. No advertising cookies are used.

Your data may pass through these providers:

• PostHog (EU): Usage analytics
• Sentry (EU): Error diagnostics
• Resend (EU): Transactional emails
• OpenAI: AI features
• Cloudflare: Security, rate limiting, and bot protection via Turnstile and WAF
• Stripe: Payment handling (coming soon)
• Fly.io: U.S.-hosted infrastructure

Google search integration is used to find recipe URLs. RecipeBranch does not store your queries.

We use modern, best-practice encryption and access controls to secure your data. However, no system is 100% secure.

At any time, you may:

• Delete your account or request deletion of your data by emailing us at [email protected]. We’ll process your request within 7 days.
• Contact us at [email protected] for privacy-related questions

RecipeBranch is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age.

We may update this policy during beta testing. Continued use of the app indicates acceptance of any changes.
